Alice Tavener – Costume Designer
ALICE TAVENER (COSTUME DESIGNER) is a NY-based designer driven by the challenge of storytelling while creating new works. She works in opera and theater. Recent credits include Eugene Onegin (Spoleto USA); This in the Color as Described by the Time (Door 10/New Georges); Minor Character (New Saloon/Sharon Playhouse and Under the Radar); Music Man (Sharon Playhouse); The Tens and Many Deaths of Nathan Stubblefield (Actor’s Theater of Louisville); My Name is Gideon (All for One/Rattlestick and tour). Her work has also been seen at Atlantic Theater; La MaMa; HERE; JACK; Baryshnikov Arts Center; Mount Tremper Arts; Chicago Cultural Center; South Coast Rep Studio; REDCAT, among others. She is a member of Door 10. She received her BA in Art from Pitzer College and MFA in Theater Design from CalArts. @TavenerCostume
