Mike Inwood – Lighting Designer

MIKE INWOOD (Lighting Designer) works in opera, theatre, dance, special events and television. Recent opera credits include Rinaldo with Chas Rader-Shieber at Portland Opera, I Capuleti e i Montecchi with Emma Griffin at Curtis Opera Theatre, and Out Cold/Zippo Songs with American Opera Projects at BAM. Recent theatrical credits include God of Carnage with Pirronne Yousefzadeh at Perseverance Theatre, Samuel and Alasdair: A Personal History of the Robot War with the artistic collective The Mad Ones as well as productions with directors Michael Sexton, Pamela Berlin and Joanna Settle. Mike’s dance designs have been seen around the world, including work by choreographers Kyle Abraham, Kate Weare, Amber Funk Barton, Joshua Beamish, Emily Molnar, Gus Solomons Jr, and Carmen de Lavallade. He has upcoming projects with directors Lila Neugebauer, Niegel Smith, and Jordan Fein.
Mike is the lighting designer of the 2013 Macy’s Christmas Windows at their flagship store in New York City, and earned an Emmy Award in 2010 for his work as part of the NBC Sports lighting team for coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.
