LINDA CHO (Costume Design) has designed numerous operas, dance and theatre Off-Broadway, internationally and at regional theaters across the country. New York credits include Manhattan Theater Club; Theater For A New Audience; Second Stage; Vineyard Theater;Lincoln Center Theatre; The Public Theater; New York Theater Workshop; Atlantic Theater Company; Classic Stage Company; The Acting Company; Labyrinth Theatre Company; The Pearl Theatre andJuilliard School among others. Regional credits include: La Jolla Playhouse; The Guthrie Theatre; Huntington Theater; Hartford Stage; Oregon Shakespeare Festival; Chicago Shakespeare; Long Wharf Theatre; Goodspeed; Yale Repertory Theater; George Street Playhouse; Arena Stage; Williamstown Theater Festival; Westport Country Playhouse; The Old Globe; Actor’s Theater of Louisville; Dallas Theatre Center; New York Stage and Film; Shakespeare Theatre (DC); Baltimore Center Stage and Philadelphia Theater Company among others. Opera credits include: Los Angeles Opera; Virginia Opera;Opera Theatre of St. Louis; Juilliard Opera School; American Opera Musical Theatre Company and the Asia Society. Her costumes have been showcased internationally at: The Stratford Shakespeare Festival; Royal Shakespeare Company; Canadian Stage Company; Hong Kong Performing Arts Center; National Theater, Taipei; Repercussion Theatre, Canada. Her numerous designs for dance include multiple collaborations with Michael Mao, most notably for The Firecracker, which had a successful tour throughout China and the United States.
Linda received the Craig Noel Award (San Diego Critics Circle) for her outstanding costume design for The Old Globe’s production of Pericles as well as numerous other awards and nominations from organizations including the Drama Desk Awards; Lucille Lortel Awards; Henry Hews; Robby Awards; IRNE Awards and the Jeff Awards.
She has been a guest-teaching artist at the Yale School of Drama; New York University; The Broadway Theatre Institute and the Kennedy Center Summer Design Intensive with Ming Cho Lee as well as being honored as a guest panelist with numerous regional arts organizations. Linda received her MFA from the Yale School of Drama; her undergraduate degree from McGill University, and a Certificate, Fine Arts and Fashion from the Paris American Academy. She was thrilled to have been chosen as a Costume Curator for the Prague Quadrennial 2011 United States National Pavillion.
