SUN HEE KIL is a New York based sound designer/engineer from South Korea, currently associate professor of Sound Design and the Head of Design & Technology in the Department of Theatre Arts, State University of New York at New Paltz.

She served as associate sound designer at the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in SouthKorea, Bernhardt/Hamlet (Broadway), Choir Boy (Broadway, TONY Best SoundDesign), Dreamgirls Tour (Shanghai, China & Tokyo, Japan), Jim Henson's Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas (New Victory). Assistant Sound Design for The Rose Tattoo (Broadway) and Greater Clements (Lincoln Center Theater).

Her Sound Design for The Brother Size was selected one of six finalists of sound design exhibition at World Stage Design2022,
3D Mapping Project on Brooklyn Library, Brooklyn Gaze (co-designed withBrad Ward), was selected as USA exhibition for PQ2019
and the Recipient of Kennedy Center American College Theater FestivalOutstanding Sound Design National Award for Flipside, 2012.
